  • Some New Eyewear from Apple

Apple has announced its take on an augmented reality headset and it’s called Apple Vision Pro. According to CEO, Tim Cook, the headset will seamlessly blend the real and digital world and is “the first Apple product you look through, and not at.” With features like a 4K display and a digital persona avatar, it will be interesting to see how the $3,499 headset will measure up to its competitors when it launches early next year.

  • Meta’s AI-Generated Music Tool

Meta have launched their answer to AI-generated music with a new tool called MusicGen. MusicGen uses text or melody prompts to create new music, based on samples of songs and instrument styles built into the back-end generative elements. Essentially, you tell MusicGen the type of track you want, or even hum a tune, and it’ll come out with variations of that audio as outputs. Following the introduction of AI-generated music to streaming services back in April, the introduction of AI is sure to have a big effect on the music industry.

TikTok’s looking to celebrate the gaming community this month, with a range of live broadcasts, events, and activations, as part of its ‘Gaming on TikTok’ event. #GamingonTikTok will connect all of these discussions, as TikTok looks to highlight key creators and events within the community. With gaming being one of the most influential elements of online culture, this could be a great opportunity to tap into the broader gaming discussion in the app, and learn who the biggest influencers are within the gaming community.

  • Instagram’s Music Notes

Instagram has added a new feature to their Notes function. Users can now include a song in their note. With Notes doing especially well among younger users, this fun new feature will allow users to share their favourite track of the moment with their followers. In the last few years, TikTok has become a key channel for the latest music trends, so it’s interesting to see Instagram testing the waters in this area.
